GT-701 Ablative Thermal Insulation Coating Instruction Manual
1 Product Features
This product consists of two components (A and B), to be mixed immediately before use. Component A is formulated with silicone resin, special pigments and fillers, and solvents; Component B is a dedicated curing agent. As a product in the same system as GT-401, it boasts excellent heat resistance, corrosion resistance, electrical insulation, and aging resistance, and is non-toxic and harmless.

3 Application Methods
3.1 Preparation
Stir Components A and B thoroughly before use; the mixing ratio of A to B is 20:1. If the mixed coating is left for more than 30 minutes, stir it thoroughly and let it stand for 5 minutes before use. The mixed coating must be used up within 8 hours; prepare as needed. The recoating interval shall be no less than 4 hours.
3.2 Application
Applicable methods: spraying, brushing, dipping and rolling. For spraying: recommended nozzle diameter of 1.5mm (optimal), pressure around 0.5MPa. For rolling: rotation speed of the coated part at 200–300 rpm; rolling time depends on coating thickness (e.g., 1.5–2 hours for a dry film thickness of 500μm). Single-layer dry film thickness shall not exceed 200μm.
3.3 Drying
Room-temperature drying time for GT-701: surface dry ≤4 hours, hard dry ≤24 hours, fully dry in 3 days, optimal performance achieved in 7 days. Heat curing is also allowed after the film is hard dry.
4 Application Fields
GT-701 Ablative Thermal Insulation Coating is widely used for protective repair of inner and outer walls of rockets without baking conditions, as well as thermal insulation protection and repair of rocket engine combustion chambers.
